Our Story

A grooming studio built on trust

Hi, I’m Tammy, owner of Muddy Paws Grooming! I’ve proudly owned Muddy Paws for 14 years and have been grooming dogs for over 37 years. Grooming isn’t just my career—it’s truly my passion. I love building relationships with both the dogs I care for and the wonderful clients who trust me with their beloved pets.

When I’m not at the salon, you’ll usually find me spending time on my little farm with my family. These days, my greatest joy is making memories with my very first granddaughter. I feel incredibly fortunate to do what I love every day and look forward to caring for your furry family members as if they were my own.

Kalena

With more than 20 years in the pet care industry, Kalena has dedicated her career to improving the lives of dogs and the people who love them. She is passionate about providing compassionate, quality care and finds the greatest reward in helping dogs live happier, healthier lives. When she’s not working, Kalena enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with friends. Her favorite place to recharge is anywhere by the ocean, where she finds peace and inspiration. At home, she’s kept on her toes by Dazie, her energetic Australian Cattle Dog, who shares her love of adventure and the outdoors.

I’ve been working in the pet grooming industry for almost two years, and I love being able to make a positive difference in each dog’s health, comfort, and overall well-being. Seeing dogs leave feeling happier and looking their best is what makes this work so rewarding. Outside of the salon, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and fishing. One of my biggest dreams is to travel to Alaska and experience its incredible scenery and wildlife. At home, I’m kept busy by my two dogs—Darla, a sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and June, a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon/Lab mix—who are always ready for the next adventure.

Callie

Callie has been in the grooming industry since 2006, starting as a bather before training as a groomer in 2009 — nearly 20 years with dogs and over 15 behind the grooming table. Every dog is unique, and that's exactly what she loves most about the job. Outside the studio she's with her kids, curled up with a good book, dancing, or deep in a true-crime binge. At home, she's a proud cat mom to two spoiled kitties who remind her daily why she loves working with animals.
